How to play

Find the one path that fits.

Puzzlely gives you a grid, numbered checkpoints, and one goal: draw a single continuous path that visits the numbers in order and fills every playable square.

The goal

  1. Begin on checkpoint 1.
  2. Move up, down, left, or right into an adjacent playable square. Diagonal moves are not allowed.
  3. Visit every numbered checkpoint in ascending order.
  4. Use each playable square exactly once.
  5. Finish on the highest numbered checkpoint.

A solved board has one unbroken path. It covers every playable square without crossing, branching, skipping a required number, or revisiting a square.

Draw, revise, solve

Touch controls

Touch checkpoint 1, then drag through adjacent squares. You can continue the path in one gesture or lift your finger and resume from the open end.

Undo and restart

Use Undo to remove the most recent path segment. Restart clears your current path while keeping the same puzzle.

VoiceOver and alternative input

When VoiceOver is running, select a square to hear its row, column, checkpoint, path, and availability status. Use the available actions to extend or retract the path. Puzzlely also supports system focus and switch-based navigation where iOS provides it.

What happens when a move cannot work?

Puzzlely prevents moves that break the basic rules, such as moving diagonally, revisiting a used square, or entering the wrong numbered checkpoint. A path can still lead to a dead end later. Undo or restart to try another route.

No penalty for experimenting. Daily completion records the solve, not how many drafts it took to get there.

Hints that leave room to think

A hint reveals a useful next step or resolves a specific point of uncertainty. It does not replace the entire route. You can keep solving from the revealed segment and use Undo on your own later moves.

Any hint request marks the current attempt as assisted, including when the solver cannot prove a safe hint within its budget. Rush does not offer hints.

Ways to play

Daily Five

Five date-based puzzles with a gentle difficulty curve. The set is stable for that calendar date on the device, so a puzzle does not change while you are solving it.

Quick Play

Choose a board size and difficulty, then play a newly generated valid puzzle.

Zen

Settle into a continuous session without a timer. The emphasis is on deliberate solving and a clear board.

Rush

Solve a sequence under time pressure. Correct completions advance the run. The mode explains its timer, scoring, and hint behavior before play begins.

Readable in more than one way

Checkpoints always include numbers. Path state uses shape and position as well as color. Text supports Dynamic Type, controls have accessible names, and motion follows your Reduce Motion setting.

If something in the game is hard to perceive or operate, please send details through Support. Accessibility feedback is treated as a product issue.
